Celebrate Independence Day at Clyde's Festival by the Lake

Independence Day is coming up quickly and while aerial fireworks have been banned in several counties, including Taylor County, there are still some festivals and firework shows you can still celebrate the Fourth of July including Clyde's Festival by the Lake.

This two-day event happens on July 1st and July 2nd at Clyde Lake which is only about a 30-minute drive from Abilene. I've been to this event a few times before and let me tell you, Clyde knows how to celebrate.

In the past, there has been a fireworks show on both nights. So if you're looking to see some aerial fireworks, Clyde Lake will be the place to be.

What can you expect at Clyde's Festival by the Lake?

This year, you can expect live music on both Friday and Saturday, a lead and lace cowboy shootout, a barbeque cookoff, a kids carnival, tons of games, vendors, swimming, volleyball, camping, and more. Sounds pretty fun, right?

~~Plus they cap off each night with an amazing aerial display of fireworks. Seriously, if you haven't been, the fireworks display itself is worth the drive to Clyde Lake.~~

Live Music

Several bands are slated to perform on both Friday and Saturday. On Friday, Love is Blind, Power Tap, and Ariel Hutchins Band will be playing. Then on Saturday, you'll have Garrett Bryan, Soul Krushers, Branded TX, and Jackson Hatch will be on stage.
