What is disc golf?

If you're new to the game, disc golf is basically played like regular golf, only baskets and discs are used instead of holes and golf balls. You keep score just like you would a game of golf.

I started playing about nine years ago. And, from the first throw, I was hooked. Am I any good? No. But, the game is just simply fun to play. Not only do you get a level of competition, but you also get a little exercise. Besides, who wouldn't want to hang out with their buddies and chunk discs at baskets for several hours?

What do you need to play disc golf?

There are three discs you'll need to play; a putter, a mid-range, and a driver. Of course, you'll want to have a small disc golf bag to carry those in. As you learn the game, you'll collect more discs and you'll want to get a bigger bag. Heck, some people even have those fancy disc golf carts you can roll around carrying your discs and accessories.

So, now that you know a little about playing the sport of disc golf, you'll want some cool courses to throw at.
