Texas Parks & Wildlife is Giving Away a Lifetime Hunting License

Calling all avid (or amateur) hunters and fisherpeople in the state of Texas! The Texas Parks & Wildlife Department is giving away a FREE Lifetime Super Combo License — but you have to enter online or purchase your entry from a Texas Parks & Wildlife license retailer before 11:59 PM on November 30, 2021.

Where can I enter to win a FREE Lifetime Super Combo License?

You can either buy your entries online here or purchase them from a Texas Parks & Wildlife license retailer near you. You can check online here for a list of approved retailers. Review the drawing's rules before you play.

This is Texas Parks & Wildlife's third and final Lifetime License Drawing for the 2021 year; this year's first two drawings took place on September 30 and October 31. Entries are only $5 (you can get more than one entry!), and all proceeds from the drawing fees go directly to help Texas Parks & Wildlife preserve hunting and fishing in the state of Texas.

The winner will also receive a free year's subscription to the Texas Parks & Wildlife magazine.

There's really no excuse not to enter because Lifetime Super Combo Licenses usually go for a casual $1,800 in the Lone Star State. They're only available for Texas residents over the age of 17, but Lifetime Super Combo status ensures you never have to buy another state hunting or fishing license again.

In addition to the package of resident hunting and fishing licenses, the Lifetime Super Combo License also gives you five state endorsements for archery (bow hunting), freshwater and saltwater fishing, upland game bird hunting, and migratory game bird hunting.

The funds from Texas Parks & Wildlife hunting and fishing licenses support multiple programs statewide that benefit Texas wildlife, wild places, landowners, hunters, fishermen, and Texas residents themselves. This includes places like the Big Country's very own Abilene State Park, so regardless of whether you win the Lifetime Super Combo License or not, know you're supporting the great Texas outdoor tradition.

Today these parks are located throughout the country in 25 states and the U.S. Virgin Islands. The land encompassing them was either purchased or donated, though much of it had been inhabited by native people for thousands of years before the founding of the United States. These areas are protected and revered as educational resources about the natural world, and as spaces for exploration.
