The Texas High School Rodeo Finals Return to Abilene
The Annual Texas High School Rodeo Finals, where the top high school rodeo athletes compete, will be returning back to Abilene beginning Tuesday, June 3rd through Monday, June 12th. While the Texas High School Rodeo Finals took place during the pandemic last year, there were no spectators to witness last years competitors.
There's over 1,000 cowboys and cowgirls that have been competing to get to this years coveted Texas High School Rodeo Association Finals for the title of "State Champion" competitor. Plus the chance to go to the National High School Rodeo Association Finals and win the title as National Champion plus winning some serious college scholarship money.
The Texas High School Rodeo Association Finals will be held at the Taylor County Expo Center at 1700 Hwy 36, in the all new Taylor Telcom Arena in Abilene. Events will be held nightly with doors opening at 6 PM and competition beginning promptly at 7 PM.
Cost per person to get in is only $7 for adults, $4 for students through Friday then the tickets are only $8 for adults and $5 for students on Saturday night only. Events include my favorite pole bending, barrel racing, bull riding, bronc riding, team roping and so many more more. Food and drink concessions are also available and vendors of western wear, riding and roping supplies of all kinds and equine care products will be set up.
The excitement goes through Saturday, June the 12th as you'll see how exciting it is in the video above. For more info contact the Taylor county Expo at 325-677-4376, TaylorCountyExpoCenter.com or the THSRA Finals website.
