The Seagraves ISD Superintendent accused of leaving recording devices in the visiting girls' locker room before a basketball game in November is dead. According to multiple reports, Joshua Neil Goen was found dead with a single self-inflicted gunshot wound.

The week began with Goen's arrest on Monday. On Tuesday, the FBI along with other law enforcement agencies searched Goen's home. On Wednesday we learned that Goen had been charged with Invasive Visual Recording and that in mid-November, Gaines County Sheriff's Deputies were called to Seagraves High School after a recording device had been found and removed from the visiting girls' locker room.

According to a previous report from KAMC, Goen was informed about the investigation on November 22 and was placed on administrative leave on November 28.

This morning, December 9, according KAMC, Lubbock County Sheriffs Deputies were called out to a location west of Shallowater.

The West Texas school superintendent who was under investigation for Invasive Visual Recording shot and killed himself.

According to the Lubbock County Sheriff’s Office, deputies were called to the 8600 block of North FM 2378, which is west of Shallowater, at approximately 10:15 a.m. Friday.

“Deputies located 43-year-old Joshua Neil Goen deceased with a single self-inflicted gunshot wound,” LCSO said.

The FBI and other agencies have not said how today's new will impact any future or current investigations.
