Only in Texas during the holiday season. I saw this the other night and thought to myself, no one outside of Texas gets to experience the beauty of this sight! A beautifully decorated, completely lit-up pump jack. How Texas is this? Is Texas in a league of our own when it comes to Christmas decor, weather and all the holiday things?
THINGS THAT ONLY TEXANS DO AT CHRISTMAS:
Only in Texas:will we not have a white Christmas-are you kidding me? This week temps have been in the 70s, we're lucky if we get a tiny bit of snow by Februarydo we make tumbleweed snowmen-we have enough tumbleweeds blowing down the road to do so, so why not?do we make mud snow men-once the snow begins to melt in Texas, it turns into yucky sludge. Snow/mud mix. Make the best of it and give your snowman a little tan!do you see tractors pulling trailers in a Christmas parade carrying caroling little childrendoes your mall or parade Santa wear cowboy boots or a cowboy hat and no one bats an eyewill you see a 'western Christmas' theme of lights on your house or your treeare we wearing shorts on Christmas day-see the above mentioned no snow until February! lol
It's a great day to be a Texan! Born and raised, I think we have the best Christmas traditions by far. Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays and a safe, Happy New Year to everyone!
