Mason Ramsey’s ‘Jambalaya’ Cover Proves He’s No One-Trick Pony [Listen]
Internet sensation Mason Ramsey is back with a brand new classic cover, this time of Hank Williams Sr.'s hit "Jambalaya (On the Bayou.)"
Once again, the kid first discovered in downstate Illinois proves he's authentic on a near-perfect rendition of the iconic country hit, which harkens back to a simpler time and a sweeter sound of yesteryear. For Ramsey, it seems that the song is truly in his vocal wheelhouse, with his yodel-heavy vocals seemingly sounding quite at home on the 1952 classic.

To say that 2018 has been a big year for Ramsey would be an understatement. The 11-year-old was discovered when a video of him yodeling in the aisles of his local Walmart earlier this year went viral, and since then he’s been hanging out on the red carpet at the Radio Disney Music Awards, CMT Music Awards, Billboard Music Awards and more. He released an original debut single called "Famous," which was co-written by Florida Goergia Line’s Tyler Hubbard and skyrocketed to the number one spot on the iTunes Country Songs chart upon its release.
Ramsey will next hook up with his FGL friends in September, as he is set to appear at the duo’s inaugural outdoor FGL Fest at Indianapolis Motor Speedway on Sept. 8. From there, he will also appear as direct support for FGL's upcoming Las Vegas residency at Planet Hollywood Resort and Casino this December.
