Dying Little Boy’s Last Wish Is for Birthday Cards
Five-year-old Danny Nickerson is a boy who was diagnosed with a rare form of brain cancer. His only wish is to get birthday cards. Let's make this happen!
This little guy has been through 33 rounds of radiation since November, and doctors say he has less than a 10% chance of living beyond 18 months.
Like most kids, getting mail with their names on the package is something truly special. There's always that little mystery of what's in the envelope. And Danny is no exception. He gets pretty excited when he receives mail. So, naturally, to cheer up this little guy in his unfortunate condition, there is a drive going to fill up his mailbox.
Imagine the surprise and excitement he'll feel when the mailman starts dropping off duffel bags full of letters and packages addressed to him! It has some serious heartwarming and compassionate potential. So, let's do this.
Danny's birthday is July 26, and we understand that some of the mail probably won't get to his door in time, but we're fairly confident parcels will be arriving for this little boy for weeks to come. So here's what you should do.
Sometime this week, get out to the store and pick up a card or two. Write something awesome and sign it with your location. Put a stamp on it and drop it in the mail.
