First off, I've had my fill of this rollercoaster weather we've been having. You know...one day we're in the 70s and the next three or four days in the 30s and 40s. I know it's not that cold, but I love my hot West Texas summer days and I miss them.

So if Mother Nature can't seem to fulfill my wants and needs, then I start looking to go where I can play like it is summer again. I recently discovered that if I take a three-hour drive to just northwest of Dallas, to a place called Little Elm, I can play and relax like it's summer in the dead of winter.

Watch the video below to see how awesome this INDOOR waterpark is. The Cove at The Lakefront has all the amenities the outdoor waterparks have to offer. They have several water slides, two Flow Rider surf pools, and my all-time favorite thing to do is float around a lazy river. They have two of them.

Plus The Cove at The Lakefront also features the first "Texas' Infinity Jump Water Slide," speed slides for the thrill seekers, splash pads for the little folks, and water towers for those who like being rained upon. If your birthday or anniversary is in the dead of winter, you can now have a "summer-like party" and invite all your friends.

The Cove at The Lakefront offers fun for everyone from the little teeny tikes to the grown-ups who would rather spend a day at the gym instead of playing in the water. Yep, The Cove has thought of everything, including a complete gym for workouts. So pick a day, gather the family, and enjoy a day - or week - of fun.

If you're like me and are hooked on playing in the water even when it's cold outside, you can buy a year-long membership. Individual day passes are also available. Be sure to visit The Cove at The Lakefront's website to discover more of the fun that awaits in the dead of winter. The Cove is open 365 days of the year. Enjoy!
