West Texans Share Their Favorite Dad Jokes For Father’s Day
Father's Day is less than two weeks away, and that means it's officially dad joke season.
Truth be told, dad jokes have probably been around as long as dads have been around. Long before smartphones, social media, and text messages, fathers were making their kids groan with corny one-liners and bad puns.

I've always enjoyed a good dad joke, especially the ones that fit my own life.
One of my favorites is:

- "What did the digital clock say to the grandfather clock?" - "Look, Grandpa, no hands!"
That joke has always made me laugh because I was born with one arm.
A Lifetime Of One-Armed Dad Jokes
Over the years, I've probably told more one-arm jokes than I can count.
When someone says, "Rudy, that's a great idea. I've got to hand it to you," my response is always the same:
- "Left one, please."
When I'm emceeing an event, and somebody says, "Ladies and gentlemen, let's give Rudy Fearless Fernandez a hand," I grab the microphone and quickly reply:
- "Left one, please. Left hand only."
The laughs usually come quickly, followed by a few groans. That's when you know you've told a true dad joke.
West Texans Shared Their Favorites
That got me wondering what some of the best dad jokes around West Texas might be.
So I asked our listeners on Facebook and through the station app, and they didn't disappoint.
Here are some of the funniest dad jokes shared by our listeners:

- Allison Moore Davis: "What did one snowman say to the other? — *sniff sniff* “Do you smell carrots??”

- Abilene Zoo: "We'd like to tell you we know a bunch of zoo jokes, but we would be lion!"

- Michael Dupre: "What was the Chinese guy's name with one leg? Ohh, it's Tai Wun Shu."

- Bobby Bales: "What comes but never arrives?... Tomorrow!"

- Vanessa Sealy: "Where did the sheep go to get its haircut? To the Baa Baa shop!

- Jodi Riggan: "Why did the duck have tail feathers? To cover its booty quackkk."

- Amelia Springer: "What did the dad Buffalo say to his son when he left for school?...Bison!"
Why Dad Jokes Never Go Out Of Style
The truth is, dad jokes aren't supposed to be clever.
They're supposed to be memorable.
Years from now, most kids won't remember every Father's Day gift they gave their dad. But they'll remember the corny jokes, the eye rolls, the laughter, and those moments when Dad couldn't resist delivering one more punchline.
So with Father's Day right around the corner, let's hear your favorite dad joke.
Share it in the comments below, and let's keep the laughs going.
