You won’t have to look very hard to find Carmen Sandiego this time, gumshoes. The fictional globe-trotting thief has landed on Netflix, where Gina Rodriguez will lend her voice to the title role in a brand new animated series. But that’s old news; in new-news, the streaming giant has additionally ordered a live-action Carmen Sandiego movie which will also star Rodriguez.

According to Deadline, Gina Rodriguez is now headlining a Carmen Sandiego animated series as well as a live-action movie for Netflix. Rodriguez, who won a Golden Globe for her role in Jane the Virgin and recently starred in Alex Garland’s Annihilation (also soon to be a Netflix exclusive), will produce the Carmen Sandiego projects with Netflix via her I Can and I Will banner.

Shortly after announcing the animated series last year, Netflix debuted the first poster for Carmen Sandiego, which will premiere in 2019 along with a new series of books. It’s unclear exactly when Netflix hopes to debut the live-action film; no director or writer has been hired as of yet and little is known about the project — though Deadline notes that it will be a standalone adventure, separate from the animated series and books.

In the meantime, Rodriguez will continue her ongoing film and TV domination with a role in Sony’s upcoming remake of Miss Bala. Directed by Catherine Hardwicke, the movie is based on the Best Foreign Film Oscar nominee from Mexico and stars Rodriguez as a beauty queen hopeful who finds herself immersed in the violent world of organized crime.
