Killer Mike Criticized for Appearing in NRA Ad Supporting Gun Ownership [VIDEO]
As thousands of parents and children gathered in Washington, D.C., on Saturday (March 24), for the March for Our Lives rally, folks are surprised by a new NRA video featuring Killer Mike.
In it, the Run the Jewels rapper talks with NRATV host and guns rights activist Colion Noir supporting gun ownership and downplaying the March for Our Lives rallies across the nation.
Mike, who is a proud gun owner, stressed that he has worked with many anti-gun organizations but feels that most people are following along with liberals because it's a cool thing to do.
“You can’t continue to be the lackey,” he said. “You’re a lackey of the progressive movement, because you’ve never disagreed with the people who tell you what to do.”
Mike ends the interview by saying, “We are raising a generation of kids where everyone gets a trophy. But in real life, everyone don’t get a trophy. In real life, the cops don’t come on time. In real life, depending on where you live, you’re not gonna have the time to try to logic your way out of something.”
Fans on Twitter were disappointed in Killer Mike's appearance in the NRA video. Some feel that the pro-gun organization is using Killer Mike as pawn to promote their agenda.
"Killer Mike the epitome of a smart dumb nigga," tweeted one fan.
Another person wrote: "Killer Mike working with the NRA is just baffling. It’s not going to convince any black folks who already know it’s a white supremacist organization. Are BernieBros pro-NRA? I realize they have a tendency to be as bad as [Trump] supporters, but this is a lot."
