Best Places For A Kid’s Birthday Party In Abilene
Where are the best places for kid's birthday parties? Well, I have a few awesome places here in Abilene that are perfect for just such an occasion.
The Gymnastics Sports Center
Parties at The Gymnastics Sports Center are an hour and a half and are supervised. The first hour are activities in the gym with coaches. The last half hour you have your refreshments and open presents. Prices are based on the number of children attending the party. Anywhere from 1-20 kids is $150 and you have 2 coaches; 21-30 kids is $170 and 3 coaches; 31-40 kids is $190 and 4 coaches. Each additional unscheduled child will be $4 extra. The center provides invitations, coaches refrigerator/freezer, tables and clean up. You provide the decor and refreshments.
They also do play days and parents night out. Anyone potty trained to age 12 is welcome. They have supervised tumbling floor, beams, trampolines, mini-tramps, bars and foam pits.
They stay pretty booked up so I advise calling (325-698-5142) a good couple of months in advance of your party date. The center is located at 1241 Ben Richey Drive. Of course, check out their website for more information.
PrimeTime Family Entertainment Center
PrimeTime isn't just for kids either, the whole family will have fun here. They have parties for kids ages 1-13 and teen parties for ages 14-19. The kids partie packages include 2 large pizzas and unlimited soft drinks during party room time, $5 arcade game card for each child, $5 bonus arcade money for the birthday person, pin sipper and balloons, party goods, and your own host. There are 5 different packages from which to choose. Prices range from $129.99 - $299.99. Some packages include bowling or a major attraction.*
*When I say you get to choose a major attraction that means you get to choose from go-karts, laser tag, NASCAR simulators, bumper cars or the XD theater. You must book your party at least 48 hours in advance.
If you've never been to PrimeTime I highly recommend it; it's fun, relaxing and great family fun. PrimeTime is located at 4541 Loop 322 and check them out on the web for more fun.
PUTT-PUTT GOLF & GAMES
Putt-Putt golf has always been a fun birthday party. I remember my brother and I both having parties at putt-putt when we were younger. If you are on a budget and your birthday party is during a milder part of the year weather wise, then this is a great option. Very inexpensive considering other options.
They are located at 201 S. Danville Dr. just off the Winters Freeway. For reservations and more info call 325-692-7596 or check their local website for hours.
The Skatin' Place
Skating seems to be a love of most kids (and adults too). I have been to the skating place myself and the kids loved skating. It's also something the parents and join in on as well. I have to say it brought back a lot of memories from my childhood.
There are 2 packages to choose from Regular and Super. You are allowed to bring cake and ice cream only; pizza and drinks are supplied by the Skatin' Place.
A $25.00 deposit is required on all party reservations. Parties typically are held on Saturdays or Sundays from 1-4 pm with exception to the Saturday night parties from 7-10:30 pm. Speak with the Skatin' Place staff for details for more information see their website. The Skatin' Place is at 1930 S. Clack or call 325-695-4713.
Power Up Inflatables
Power Up Inflatables is great for younger kids who love to be active. The room is filled with inflatable jump houses and slides and believe me the kids can't get enough. There is also a separate room for food/cake and drink.
You can reserve the whole building for 2 hours complete with party supplies (plates, utensils, napkins) and clean up. You can bring in food, cake and extra drinks if you wish. Plus the birthday child gets a free pass to come back and jump again during a non-reserved time.
Fun (and easy) for kids and parents both!
Power Up Inflatables is located at 2266 Industrial Blvd. (Behind Sherwin Williams) check their website or call 325-794-8054 for more details.
