‘Westworld’ Teases the Future in New Trailer, Opening Credits
The violent delights of HBO’s Westworld are nowhere near their violent ends after Sunday’s premiere, and things are definitely going to get worse for our “hosts” before they get better. See for yourself in a new trailer previewing the HBO drama’s first season, as well as those haunting opening credits.
Along with Sunday’s debut of “The Original,” HBO’s Westworld previewed the season at large in a new trailer, showcasing how the show’s androids become increasingly aware of their many “deaths.” Thandie Newton’s Maeve in particular seems especially aware, though it looks like Evan Rachel Wood’s Doris will eventually evolve into a leader in her own right.
Along with the new trailer, HBO released the official opening credits sequence (minus the amusing “Name Surname” critics saw in early screeners):
The new series features among its cast Anthony Hopkins, Evan Rachel Wood, Ed Harris, X-Men star James Marsden, The Hunger Games and Boardwalk Empire star Jeffrey Wright, Thandie Newton, Raising Hope lead Shannon Woodward, 300 star Rodrigo Santoro, Angela Sarafyan, Simon Quarterman, Sidse Babett Knudsen, Ingrid Bolsø Berdal, Ben Barnes, Jimmi Simpson, Lili Simmons and Clifton Collins, Jr.
