Two of Abilene's Public Libraries will be opening back up after being closed due to the COVID-19 quarantine. Both the main branch at 202 Cedar Street in downtown Abilene and inside the Mall of Abilene at 4310 Buffalo Gap Road will begin limited operations, starting Monday, May 18th.

The main library will be open Mon - Fri 9 am to 6 pm and Saturdays 9 am to 1 pm, while the South Branch will open Mon - Fri 11 am to 6 pm and Sundays 12 pm to 5 pm. Everyone who visits the libraries are ask to maintain 'social distancing' (six-feet separation) and face masks are not required but are recommended.

Library staff will be limiting guests to 25% of capacity and ask that all visitors limit their time in the library to no more than 90 minutes per visit, to allow the maximum amount of visitors.
