Whataburger Unveils Custom Food Truck [Photos & Video]
Whataburger is joining the food truck craze. Earlier this week, Whatburger officially unveiled a custom, 36-foot long food truck, which features a 4-foot grill.
"We wanted a way to connect even more with our communities and to introduce Whataburger to new customers in a new and exciting way," said Rich Scheffler, vice president of marketing and innovation for Whataburger. "And this truck is a showstopper."
The Whataburger food truck features 24 feet of cooking space powered by a 30,000-watt generator.
“We have worked on the idea of a Food Truck for years,” Scheffler said. "But we didn’t want it to roll out of the garage until it could turn heads and bring our restaurant quality food to the road. This truck fits the bill.”
The food truck was built by Cruising Kitchens, a San Antonio-based company. The construction of the custom Whataburger food truck will be featured on a future episode of Built for Business, Cruising Kitchens’ MotorTrends TV show.
Imagine being at a weekend rodeo or town fair and seeing the Whataburger food truck. It puts a smile on my face just thinking about it.
The Whataburger food truck is scheduled to make a nationwide tour in 2021.
