‘The Bells of Peace’ Will Ring on Veterans Day in Buffalo Gap
This Veterans Day, don't miss the opportunity to ring the Bells of Peace at the Taylor County History Center 133 William St, Buffalo Gap, TX. This years Veterans Day event will focus on the forgotten war, and it's Veterans of World War I.
Twenty-four Buffalo Gap residents actually served in World War I. Two of them were Killed in Action. The relatives of George F. Ridenour, who was KIA, will be the honored guests at this event on Veterans Day.
The family members of those that lost their lives in WWI, will toll the bells 21 times in remembrance of all Veterans. This is a free event on Sunday, November 11th. A non-denominational ceremony with prayer, hymns and stories from World War I will take place starting at 10 AM.
The "Bells of Peace "ceremony will honor all veterans, however the presentation will focus on WWI as told by the family members of those being honored. To RSVP call (325) 572-3365.
