Today’s Benefit for APD Detectives Moved to Old Kmart on South 1st
While travelling to Dallas, to a Crimes Against Children conference, Detectives Ybarra, Collins, and Milliorn were involved in an accident that claimed the life of Ybarra.
Tonight, there will be a benefit with 100% of the PROCEEDS will be presented to the Abilene Police Officers Association to be put in the account that has been setup for the Ybarra family and the two detectives that were injured.
The original site of the benefit was the Red Dirt Pavilion, in Buffalo Gap, but because of inclement weather the benefit has now been moved to the old Kmart building on South 1st.
The event will start at 6pm and end at midnight. There will be live music, food trucks, silent auction, and raffles during this family-friendly event.
Entry is free, but donations will gladly be accepted.
