Welcome to week one of The Voice Season13 live shows, which kicked off Monday (Nov. 20). Twelve singers performed solely for viewer's votes, while their respective coaches sat back, watched, and hoped for the best! (Want to cast your own vote? Fans can choose their favorite artists here.)

Team Blake was represented this evening first off by Red Marlow, who has been pretty much the official representative of traditional country throughout the season's run so far. True to form, he chose a straightforward, twang-heavy classic: Shenandoah's 1989 upbeat honky-tonker "The Church on Cumberland Road," which he dedicated to his dad (who was in the audience, along with his mom).

Marlow gave the tune an energetic run, bopping to the beat, running to high-five the audience, and jamming with his band. Shelton -- who could be seen mouthing the lyrics -- approved of the song choice, also noting sagely that Marlow "made so many country music fans happy!" Meanwhile, fellow coach Adam Levine approved of Marlow's pure authenticity, which comes as no surprise -- this guy has been oozing good ol' fashioned genuine vibes since day one.

Also performing for Team Blake -- but not with a country selection -- was Chloe Kohanski, who previously had knocked socks off with versions of Fleetwood Mac and Cyndi Lauper hits. This night, she tackled Dido's 1999 ballad "Thank You," which she dedicated to her boyfriend. Shelton thinks she can be a star. Could it possibly have been her very Gwen Stefani-ish black-and-white graphic outfit? Coach Miley Cyrus upped that with "superstar." Time will tell how she fares -- she's definitely different from the pack.

Additionally choosing a non-country song was Team Blake's Keisha Renee, who dedicated Gladys Knight's "Midnight Train to Georgia" to her mother and gave the Motown song a bit of country flair with fiddle and banjo added. Her overall delivery was, clear, pretty, and soulful in an R&B vein, despite the country instrumental touches. Still, Shelton praised her for what he said had to be one of the best performances ever on the show.
