I’ll be honest with you – I thought it was just a publicity stunt when Matthew McConaughey started throwing hints out there that he may be considering making a run for governor of Texas. It looks like I may have been wrong.

We have a long way to go, but November 2022 will be here before we know it. And these two possible contenders are in the headlines quite a bit lately.

Aside from his casual tone, it does seem that McConaughey has a sincere love for this country, and that has been appealing to Texas voters, apparently.

With New Jersey Governor Chris Christie’s poll numbers dropping, an organization named Public Policy Polling decided to see what would happen if Bruce Springsteen ran against Christie for the office — and found that he’d enter with nearly half the popular vote.
