Michael Moore has been secretly filming a documentary about Donald Trump’s election victory since November, and just in time for Cannes it was picked up today by Bob and Harvey Weinstein. The film is titled Fahrenheit 11/9, a play on the title of Moore’s award-winning 2004 documentary about the September 11 terrorist attacks Fahrenheit 9/11.

Deadline reports that Fahrenheit 11/9 will be one of the hottest, if not the hottest, titles for pickup at this year’s Cannes, where the Weinstein Company will be shopping domestic and international rights. Fahrenheit 9/11 was the documentary that launched Moore to stardom after winning the Palme d’Or at the 2004 Canned Film Festival, so this is something of a return for Moore and Weinstein, who also distributed his previous film. Fahrenheit 11/9 doesn’t yet have a release date.

The “11/9” in the title refers to November 9, the date Trump was officially declared president. Moore hopes that his new doc will be the catalyst for the end of Trump’s presidency. In a release announcing the deal with Weinstein, Moore said:

No matter what you throw at [Trump], it hasn’t worked. No matter what is revealed, he remains standing. Facts, reality, brains cannot defeat him. Even when he commits a self-inflicted wound, he gets up the next morning and keeps going and tweeting. That all ends with this movie.

Michael Moore’s other Trump film, Michael Moore in TrumpLand, was distributed by Moore himself last October.
