Red Raider Thanksgiving Kickoff Game on ESPN Officially Announced!

Texas Tech Athletics has officially announced the game time for Red Raider Football on Thanksgiving day. Will you be watching?

Texas Tech vs. TCU Thanksgiving Day

Mark your calendars! The Red Raiders will be facing the Texas Christian University (TCU) Horned Frogs on November 26 in a 7 p.m. kickoff. Check out the official reveal on the Texas Tech Football Facebook page:

On top of it all, this regular season finale will be featured on ESPN as the only college football game that day. In fact, the last time that Texas Tech hosted a team on Thanksgiving Day was back in 1977 when the Red Raiders lost to Arkansas, 17-14.

Texas Tech's rivalry with TCU is so well known that the two schools even have a traveling Saddle Trophy that first made an appearance in 1961. This matchup marks the 68th overall meeting between the two universities as well.

The announcement comes just days after it was confirmed that FOX will be carrying the September 18 Big 12 Conference opener against Houston at the Jones AT&T Stadium.

Oh, and don't forget to keep up with Texas Tech Athletics as the first two non-conference games on September 5 against Abilene Christian and September 12 against Oregon State will soon be announced, along with where you can watch them on TV.

If you're looking to catch some home games at the Jones this year, 2026 season tickets are sold out, unfortunately. BUT! Single-game tickets are available.

Red Raider Club members can get a head start on single-game tickets, but the general public can begin purchasing theirs on Monday, May 18.
