Your 2024 Guide To 9 Exciting East Texas Spring Festivals And Events
Springtime in East Texas is, without a doubt, the best time of the year. Of course, that is debatable to some, but with all of the beautiful springtime blooms, the leaves turning green on the trees, and the warmer weather, how can you not love springtime in East Texas? Unless your allergies are flaring up because of all of the pollen!
Another reason why spring in East Texas is the best is because of all the festivals, special events, fun runs, fairs, and other activities that happen. Along with a lot of fun and great memories, there's some great festival food to be had too!
This spring visitors will be flocking to Palestine, Texas to Tyler, Texas to Jacksonville, Texas to take part in these wonderful events. While many of them will be free to attend, others may require an admission fee, which is okay because oftentimes a portion of the proceeds benefit a local East Texas non-profit.
Unlike last year, this year we get to see one of the most beautiful sights in East Texas, Miss Lee's Daffodil Gardens. Located south of Gladewater off Highway 271, Miss Lee's Daffodil Gardens had to close early in the season last year because a severe storm moved through the area and destroyed the beautiful blooms. Let's hope that doesn't happen again this year because 40% of the daffodils are in bloom right now (as of this posting).
Check out all of the events and festivals that are planned for East Texas this spring. Go ahead and save the dates for all the fun in your calendar now so they won't sneak up on you because the spring cleaning of your garage or storage building can wait another week! Have some fun this spring!
