Lines be damned. Those painted lines in the shopping center parking lots mean nothing to many drivers in Tyler and Longview, Texas. It's all about the convenience of parking for them and their sense of entitlement, which they have none of.

It's one of the most basic things you learn when taking driver's ed, how to park between the lines. When it comes to our parking lots very few, if any, require you to parallel park, so parking shouldn't be difficult at all, but it is for many.

Don't hug the parking stripes.

Throughout the past year many people have been putting these bad parking jobs on blast by posting pictures of their horrific parking jobs in the Facebook group 'Tyler, TX Traffic Rants and Raves & Laughs' and not just posting pictures of their bad parking job but pics along with their license plates too!

Take up more space than needed in a parking lot and you'll be outed and exposed!

It is irritating when you try to park and there's not enough space to pull into because some 'entitled' person took up too much space. What's even worse is when you come out of the store and discover that someone parked extremely too close to you that you can't even get into your vehicle.

Case in point, my wife and I were at The Village At Cumberland Park a while back and witnessed a woman pull her Chevy Tahoe into a space by this Ford Explorer without any spatial awareness and got out and went into the shoe store.

It's all about common courtesy and respecting the space that others are entitled to when they've correctly parked in their space.

I can only imagine what the driver of the Explorer thought when they came out to see this parking job. The Tahoe is lucky they didn't hit the Explorer when they pulled in so tightly.
