You know what, this is why I have trust issues. A Texas doctor, whose patients trust is a competent medical professional, began raising red flags to those around him after showing "signs of impairment."

Dr. Nathan Robert Starke received his medical license in June of 2017 and was arrested one month later for driving drunk.

Gained employment by Houston Methodist.

He eventually was able to get employed by Houston Methodist, where he was required to submit to drug and alcohol screenings up until at least 2023. The doctor's chaotic timeline continues in 2023 when he was charged with assault after attacking his girlfriend, leaving her with a chipped tooth and bruised up.

Red flags began to pop up.

In August of 2024, Dr. Starke met with a patient to discuss a prostate biopsy. During that appointment, he was showing signs of impairment.

When the surgery day rolled around, the doctor was absent for nearly the entirety of the biopsy, except for the last three minutes, even though he was the attending physician.

Almost a month later, Starke was suspended from the hospital but agreed to "submit to regular drug and alcohol testing," that's when it all came crashing down.

The final drug test.

One of his routine required drug tests came back with startling results. Dr. Nathan Robert Starke's test revealed he had cocaine and Kratom, a supplement often taken to boost energy or curb drug withdrawals, in his system.
