Texas Highway Traffic Forces Travelers to Walk to Airport
Oh my, this is one of my worst nightmares come true. I feel so sorry for the people in the video below.
Traffic on Highway 183 was so bad this afternoon that some people ditched their cars and started walking to Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport. Imagine paying for parking you never reach.
Travelers Walk to Airport After Texas Highway Traffic Jam
Cars were barely moving, and with flights leaving soon, travelers decided the fastest way to the terminal was on foot. Videos online showed people rolling their suitcases down the side of the road, trying to beat the gridlock.
Airport officials said the traffic backup was made worse by construction in the area. Drivers reported being stuck for miles with no end in sight.

For those headed to the airport, the choice wasn’t fun, but it was simple: walk or miss their flight. I wouldn't be surprised if at least a couple of those people start packing an electric scooter in their trunks the next time they have a flight to catch after this debacle.
Sheesh!
