I'm not complaining about the moisture we've had lately. It's been hotter than hell in Texas and we needed a little rain to cool this bad boy off. Odessa, however, really got DUMPED on.

According to the Odessa American, Odessa only gets the kind of rain they had last Monday once every 10 or so years. The record for rainfall in the area was 2.12 inches in a single day, set way back in 1988. That record was trumped on Monday with a whopping 3.68 inches recorded at the airport - and it looks like everyone is enjoying it while it lasts, despite the flooding and treacherous driving conditions.

One guy even grabbed a tube and floated down the road! His video has since gone viral on TikTok. Take a look at it below:

I love it! It reminds me of stuff we'd do when I was a kid and Lubbock got a ton of rain. My brother and I would float around in the road and catch fish in the street when the lake overflowed near our house.

This guy in Odessa is just a little reminder that you don't have to be a kid to enjoy the rain, so get out there and have a blast while it lasts!
