Lubbock Tattoo Shop Closes Temporarily After 20 Years as Lease Expires

A very long-running tattoo shop in Lubbock, Ghostriders, has announced that the shop is temporarily closing while they search for a new place to call home.

Unexpected News For Ghostriders Tattoo & Body Piercing Studio

Shop owner Steve Goytia announced on Facebook that Ghostriders would be closing temporarily after the shop's long-running lease was unexpectedly not renewed. He stated that the new owners of the building have different plans for it, and that every other tenant was given the same news. Now the shop has a very limited time to leave the building that it's spent decades in.

Items For Sale During The Move

20 years is plenty of time to collect plenty of things, and in the interest of simplifying the move, Ghostriders will have some items for sale including "counters, cabinets, drawing tables, small metal lockers, large light table, square dinner table with chairs." They will also be selling some monster figures and tattoo reference books.

There's Still Time For Tattoos And Piercings

If you would still like to get a tattoo or piercing at this location, you have until the 23rd for tattoos and the 30th for piercings, according to Goytia's post. He also expressed gratitude for everyone who has supported the shop over the years at this location and invited folks to come by just for the chisme, too.
