The Tallest Building in Texas Title Moves to Austin
The tallest building in Texas is now located in Austin.

The Waterline Tower is located at the intersection of East Cesar Chavez Street and Red River Street, just a few hundred yards away from Lady Bird Lake.
DPR Construction began work on the Waterline in 2022 and is expected to be completed in 2026. It features over 350 luxury apartments, 703,000 square feet of office space, a 252-room hotel, and 24,000 square feet of retail and restaurant space
This structure is not only the tallest in Texas, but also in all of the southeastern United States. That title is not expected to last long, however, once the Waldorf Astoria Miami is completed. That building will rise to 1030 feet.
