One of my favorite country artists will be performing in Lufkin on Saturday, July 18. The legendary and timeless Bellamy Brothers are taking the stage at the Pines Theater in Downtown Lufkin. These guys have been celebrating musical success and touring for over 50 years, and they still sound solid performing hits like "Redneck Girl", "Sugar Daddy", "If I Said You Had a Beautiful Body", and their huge pop and country hit from 1976, "Let Your Love Flow".

There are quite a few reasons why the Bellamy Brothers are one of my favorites. Number one, of course, is their music. It's like comfort food...it just puts a smile on my face. So many of their hits are great for country dancing. There may not be a dance floor at the Pines Theater, but I'm sure there will be plenty of folks 'scooting a boot' in the aisles. These guys have been producing music since the late 1960s, yet the harmonies of Howard and David Bellamy are still spot on. Plus, they are so laid back and unassuming, it feels like you're at a campfire gathering at their ranch when they play.

The show gets underway at 7 p.m. at the historic Pines Theater in Downtown Lufkin on Saturday, July 18. Ticket prices range from $47 to $68, not including service fees. Ticket sales have been steady, but a rush is expected during the final week before the concert. For more details or to purchase tickets, click here.
