Potosi Live Brings Rebel Fest, Fundraisers, And Plant Bingo To Abilene

I recently had Donovan, Stephanie, and Britten from Potosi Live stop by to talk about everything they have coming up, including Rebel Fest this Saturday. And, as usual, they’ve got about 47 things happening at once, all involving live music, community, and probably a cold beverage or two.

Rebel Fest Takes Over Potosi Live This Saturday

First up is Rebel Fest this Saturday. If you’ve ever attended an event at Potosi Live, you already know they don’t half-ass anything. Expect a big crowd, plenty of entertainment, and another great excuse to get out of the house and raise a little hell. More about Rebel Fest here.

Rock & Raise Supports Wylie Schools

We also talked about Rock & Raise, a fundraiser benefiting Wylie Schools.

The fun starts with a clay competition Saturday, August 22, at Abilene Clay Sports, where the top shooter takes home $1,000. Then, The Spazmatics hit the Potosi Live stage Monday, August 24, at 6 p.m.

Plant Bingo Is Apparently a Thing, and I’m Here for It

Plant Bingo with Lily Lane Plant Co. happens September 5. Tickets are $35 and include unlimited bingo rounds and a plant.

Yes, Plant Bingo. It’s regular bingo, except your prize may require sunlight, water, and more responsibility than some people are prepared to handle.

Potosi Live Continues Giving Back to Abilene

Here’s what I really love about Potosi Live: they care. And not just saying that they do; their actions prove it time and time again.

They continually support our schools, local organizations, and neighbors. They also take care of the artists who perform there, giving musicians a legitimate stage and the support they deserve.

Donovan and the entire Potosi Live crew are simply badass. Abilene is lucky to have them, and I’m damn proud to call them friends.
