Abilene’s Noah Project to Host Golf Tournament and Helicopter Ball Drop Fundraiser
Unfortunately, domestic abuse and sexual assault continue to be a huge problem in Texas. However, one group hopes to raise awareness with several local events, including their annual golf tournament, which will feature a massive ball drop from a helicopter.
What Is the Noah Project?
The Noah Project is a nonprofit organization in Abilene that provides safe shelter, support, and advocacy for victims of family violence. We're talkin’ emergency housing, counseling, legal aid, and crisis intervention services 24/7. Their mission? To empower victims to become survivors and work to end domestic violence and sexual assault.

These dedicated folks are warriors with so much heart, but they need our help now more than ever to keep the momentum going!

Golf Tournament & Massive Helicopter Drop
On April 24th, the Noah Project is hosting their 14th annual golf tournament at Abilene Country Club, and this year they have added a massive helicopter ball drop! Get ready to see hundreds of golf balls rain down from above in a spectacular show, each ball with a number on it. If the ball you chose is closest to the designated target, you win!
In addition to the golf tournament and helicopter ball drop, there will be a silent auction, food, and prizes. The best part about it is showing your support for survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault, and human trafficking.
You can find more details about the Noah Project and this event on their Facebook page or their website.
A Chat With Noah Project
Kacey and Alana from the Noah Project joined me in the studio for a chat about what they do to help these victims of domestic abuse and sexual assault, and we also discussed their golf tournament coming up later this month.
