Still, if you're looking to gather up some pyrotechnics and fire those bad boys off legally, we've got you covered with the best fireworks stands in the Abilene area.

Tips & Regulations

  • Legal Use: Sales from June 24 to July 4. Any use inside city limits is a Class C offense and up to a $500 fine.
  • Safety Advice: Stand owners strongly advise having one sober adult in charge and keeping water or extinguishers on hand
  • Watch Burn Bans: Taylor County burn bans may curb outdoor use, even on private property

Whether you're a Big Country local or just rolling through for the holiday, Abilene has no shortage of fireworks stands to stock up for your celebration. From major players like Mr. W and Alamo Fireworks to family-run favorites like BoomBah and Bad Boyz, there's a stand with your name on it.

Just remember, buy in the city, but light 'em up outside the city limits to stay on the right side of the law. Be safe, be smart, and get ready to light up the Texas sky in true West Texas fashion.

The American Kennel Club has all kinds of advice on how to get your pooch through the entire summer in good shape. But for the Independence Day holiday, they have 10 tips on how to keep your dog calm.
