The Taylor County Veterans Service Office (TCVS) will be hosting the 2022 Veterans Day Parade on Saturday, November 5th this year. In the years past, the Veteran's Day Parade has been held on November 11th and promptly began at 11 am. However, due to the pandemic a few years ago, some adjustments had to be made.

First off, the Taylor County Veterans office is no longer accepting parade participant entries because the turn-in cut-off date was October 10th. The Taylor County Veterans Day Parade Assistant Veteran’s Service Officer Victor Burns says "if anyone is needing assistance or more information you should contact the Taylor County Veterans Office at 325-674-1328

As for the date of the actual parade being moved from November 11th to November 5th, Brian Massey with the Taylor County Veterans office informed me a couple of years ago that it was done to accommodate the CDC's guidelines and restrictions back then. Furthermore, this year's parade route has been changed completely too, as you'll see in the map below.

Even though the Veterans parade is an outdoor event and CDC distancing is not required TCVS is always looking out for the best interest of it's Veterans.

This annual parade salutes all the men and women who are serving and or have served our nation in the armed services like the Air Force, Coast Guard, Army, Marines, and Navy. Schools, Scouts, marching bands, floats, cars, clubs, equestrians, and all others have been invited to participate in the Veterans Day Parade. For additional information or parade route check out the Taylor County Texas Veterans Services website at taylorcountytexas.org or contact The TCVS at 325-674-1328.

Those that have signed up to be a participant in the parade must line up in the staging areas of the Taylor County Courthouses along Oak Street and be checked in by no later than 10:30 am Saturday morning.
