Texas Is Cracking Down After Shocking Massage Assault Claim
The Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation (TDLR) has taken swift action against a San Antonio massage therapist and instructor accused of sexually assaulting a client during a session.
Emergency Suspension Issued
According to KSAT-TV in San Antonio, court documents show the alleged assault took place on July 14. The victim immediately reported the incident to business staff and called the police.
Investigators later questioned Kodi Nathaniel Jackson, who declined to give a statement and requested an attorney. He was arrested on July 29 and booked into the Bexar County Adult Detention Center, then released on bond a few days later.
Public records confirm the TDLR suspended both of Jackson’s licenses on October 20, barring him from offering massage therapy or teaching classes anywhere in Texas until the criminal case is resolved.

According to the TDLR, both the massage therapist and massage instructor licenses belonging to Kodi Nathaniel Jackson have been temporarily suspended under an emergency order. The suspension remains in place until the criminal case has been fully resolved in court. This move prevents Jackson from legally providing massage therapy or teaching massage classes anywhere in the state of Texas.
The TDLR emphasized that such actions are necessary to protect the public and uphold the integrity of licensed professionals across the state.
Protecting Texans Through Oversight
The Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation oversees more than one million license holders across 41 different business and occupational programs, ranging from electricians and barbers to health and wellness professionals. Regular inspections and strict licensing standards are meant to keep Texans safe and ensure that all practitioners meet state-mandated requirements.
TDLR encourages Texans to verify a professional’s license and check for disciplinary history before scheduling services. You can easily search the TDLR database and find public records of past violations and final orders.
Where to Get More Information
To learn more or report a concern, visit the official TDLR website or contact customer service Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. at 1-800-803-9202. Representatives are available in English, Spanish, and Vietnamese.
In a state as large as Texas, oversight like this remains vital, protecting honest professionals while ensuring that Texans can trust the services they pay for.
