A Motorized Recliner: A Fun Gift Idea For Dads This Father’s Day
For years I've always wanted one of the awesome Motorized Recliner. But my family never took me serious and now that the last one is off to college I guess I'm going to have to go the "Motorized Recliner Char" store to by myself one. It will be me fathers day gift to me only I'm going to use one of my kids college money to buy it and that will be my gift.

Father’s Day is rolling up fast on June 15th, and if you’re still scratching your head about what to get dear ol’ Dad, let me put the ultimate gift idea in your lap, a motorized recliner that actually hauls tail. I’m not kidding. This thing looks like the lovechild of a La-Z-Boy and a lawnmower engine. And trust me, Dad’s never going to want to get out of it.
As someone who appreciates a good recliner nap and dreams of doing yard work from the comfort of a cushioned throne, let me just say: if this came with a mowing deck underneath, it’d be the greatest invention since remote-controlled ceiling fans.
Forget Ties, Give Dad a Ride
Picture this: Dad watching the game, feet kicked up, snack in hand, and when halftime hits, vroom, he’s off to the fridge for another root beer. No walking. No effort. Just full-throttle comfort. It’s the dream, right?

While these motorized masterpieces have only been seen on sidewalks and at a few random events, I’m holding out hope that motorcycle shops will start carrying models soon. Singles, doubles, off-road, all-terrain La-Z-Boy Livin’ chair. We’re talking tailgating heaven, stadium seating VIP, or even the new “drive-thru nap lane” at the What-A-Burger.
A Recliner Revolution in the Making?
Sadly, these beauties aren’t mass-produced (yet) in the U.S., but there are some crafty DIY dads building their own. And let me tell you, watching a recliner race break out during halftime at an NBA game? Instant classic.
Now if someone could just figure out how to attach a grill after you've added the mower deck to the bottom, we’d finally achieve peak Dad Mode. Simply put it's a 'dad genius creation'.
Oh, and remember Sunday, June 15th is Father's day and Monday June 16th is my birthday, so if anyone’s shopping early… I’m a “fully loaded recliner with horsepower and beer cooler” size please!
