Amber Alert for Dasia Pinckney Lifted

The amber alert issued yesterday for 4-year-old Dasia Pinckney has been lifted. The child was believed to be in grave danger yesterday after she was kidnapped by her mother’s ex-boyfriend.

Charles McDonald kidnapped Dasia from her mother’s apartment complex in Fort Worth. McDonald allegedly assaulted Dasia’s mother, and then followed her to her apartment complex, where he assaulted her again and then stole her vehicle with Dasia inside.

McDonald is now in police custody. Family members say the two’s relationship had a history of violence. Dasia was uninjured and is now in the care of her family. The Amber Alert issued for her spanned throughout north and west Texas counties.
