The Abilene Police Department Impound Facility has scheduled its annual auction of abandoned and/or wrecked vehicles with the auction house ReneBates.com. The auction is scheduled to begin on Tuesday, February 1, 2022, and will close on Friday, February 11, 2022, at 11 am.

To get registered and be ready for when bidding begins, you'll have to go to the ReneBates.com website and you will have to be preapproved in order to bid. The auctioneer's website will have photos and detailed information on all 140 vehicles that are up for auction.

The vehicles that are being auctioned off can only be seen in person at the Abilene Police Department Impound lot on Tuesday, February 8th, and Wednesday, February 9th between 10 am and 3:00 pm. Vehicles may not be viewed in person any other time. Pictures of the vehicles will be posted by the online auction site ReneBates.com and will be ready to view no later than Tuesday, February 1st, 2022.

The Abilene Police Department would love to clear the impound facility. Furthermore, removal of the vehicles once the auction is over will be by appointment only, Monday through Friday from 9 am until 4 pm and there will be no assistance with removal of any of the vehicles.

The Abilene Police Impound Facility is located at 2349 Sandy St. in Abilene, located near the intersection of East Hwy 80 (aka Business 20) and loop 322 (just one mile East of Judge Ely Blvd).
