The Dallas Cowboys survived a late rally from the New York Giants to win 24-17 to kick off the 2012 NFL season.

Man, I have to admit I was pretty nervous in the 4th quarter.  I mean last year, Dallas had a 14 point lead in the 4th quarter, but ended up losing to the Giants on the last game of the season to ruin their playoff chances and ticking off every Cowboy fan in the world.   So, with 6 minutes left in the game, and Dallas winning by 14 points, I was not about to celebrate yet.  Especially when Eli Manning drove the Giants down the field for a touchdown to make it 24-17 with over 2 minutes left.

This game would be different though as Dallas was able to get a first down and run the clock out to win.

After the slow start in the first half, Dallas turned it up in the second half and, other than the ridiculous amount of penalties, looked pretty good.  But, Kevin Ogletree was the man!  The dude caught 8 passes for 114 yards with 2 touchdowns, and almost scored a 3rd lighting up a Giants defense that was short handed on corners.  I bet there are tons of people making  a mad dash to get Ogletree on their fantasy football team.  Tony Romo looked as good as well, hitting 75% of his passes and throwing for over 300 yards.  Throw in the fact that DeMarco Murray rushed 20 times for 131 yards, plus a great defense, and you have a Dallas team that was clicking on all cylinders.

All in all, I thought the Cowboys looked great, with exception to all the penalties.
