The NFL’s Witten, Shipley and Snow Co-Own the New D1 Sports Complex in Abilene
The Dallas Cowboys Jason Witten, Cincinnati Bengals receiver Jordan Shipley and the Indianapolis Colts long snapper Justin Snow are the newest co-owners of the new D1 Sports Training Center in Abilene. The Abilene D1 Training facility will be co-owned by a group of investors and sports enthusiasts led by Dr. Dan Munton of Texas Sport & Spine right here in Abilene. The D1 Sports Complex is due to open on June 4th, 2012.
This is the 15th D1 sports facility in the country for the company however, it’s the first facility in Texas. The center will be located in the old Circuit City building at 4351 Ridgemont Drive in Abilene. The Abilene sports training facility will include a rock climbing wall, fitness store along with Fellowship of Christian Athletes and Abilene Youth Sports Authority offices. D1 Sports Training is mostly known to a host of professional athletes that work-out there and a lot of them become co-owners like Peyton Manning, A.J. Hawk, Herschel Walker, and TimTebow.
This sports facility is so intense that just watching the videos below, I want to grab my gym cloths and join them at the sports training center. The last video is called ‘We train Here’ and now I can’t get that rap song out of my head.
Will you train or at least work out here? Do you think this place will go over here in Abilene? Will you hang out just to try and see if the pros show up at the Abilene location?
