It's just not a movie featuring Bruce Wayne/Batman unless you have the death of Bruce Wayne's parents, thus explaining his mopey origins, is it? Zack Snyder would agree, and so would some new set photos from 'Batman vs. Superman,' which confirm that we will see Thomas and Martha Wayne shot to death yet again, just in case you're not sick of seeing that happen. Seriously? Again? Again-again-again?

There's a reason why people have been pretty tight-lipped with 'Batman vs. Superman' details. It seems that everyone, even the extras, face a $5 million lawsuit if they divulge anything at all. But that hasn't stopped one member of the film's background talent, who went to local Detroit news station with some new story details, including the identity of Batman's sidekick, Robin.

Bestselling author Gillian Flynn may have penned the script for the very first film based on one of her novels -- David Fincher's 'Gone Girl' -- but that doesn't mean that the writer balked at slicing and dicing her own work. We've known for a quite some time (since January, when Fincher's film was the cover story on Entertainment Weekly, to be precise) that Flynn had changed her own story for the big screen, with a big emphasis placed on mixing around the feature's third act.

Throughout David Fincher’s adaptation of ‘Gone Girl,’ it was almost as if my subconscious was telling me that this movie shouldn’t be as good as what I was watching. That’s not a slam on Gillian Flynn’s novel (obviously; I haven’t read it), it’s just that the book is presented in such a unique way, which would at least seem almost impossible to pull off – just in a basic book vs. movie sort of way. Look, I understand that this following statement can be said about most movies, but in a less capable director’s hands – and with a less capable cast -- this movie could have easily have been garbage. Actually, this movie should have been garbage.

In case you missed it, because you were muting the commercial breaks or what have you, Fox debuted a new 'Gone Girl' trailer during the 2014 Emmys, broadcast on NBC Monday night and showcasing never-before-seen footage of Ben Affleck in this twisted tale from director David Fincher and the original best-selling novel.

We've already seen our fair share of 'Batman vs. Superman' set photos showing off Henry Cavill and Gal Gadot, but we now have our first look at Ben Affleck as Bruce Wayne! And he looks like ... Ben Affleck! With some grey in his hair! Yeah, thats not too surprising. After all, the ruggedly handsome Affleck already looks enough like a playboy millionaire and the little bit of grey just confirms what director Zack Snyder has already said: this will be an older, more tired Batman.

What happens in Hall H stays in Hall H ... at least when it comes to 'Batman vs. Superman.' During Comic-Con 2014, fans at the Warner Bros. panel got to see the first 'Batman vs. Superman' teaser trailer, featuring a suited up Ben Affleck with glowing blue eyes glaring at Henry Cavill's hovering Superman, ready to do battle. However, if fans were hoping to see this same footage online shortly after, you're out of luck.

If it's Saturday at Comic-Con, it's time for the big guns to come out, and Warner Bros. has done that with some serious style. The studio's panel opened with a big, bruising look at 'Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice,' thanks to a new trailer (and more on that to come -- much more!), before director Zack Snyder trotted out stars Ben Affleck, Henry Cavill, and Gal Gadot to greet their fans.
