Join Us Sunday For a Benefit For a Local Teacher With Cancer

Stacy Horton-Sanchez is a local teacher who has also been a fixture in the Abilene music scene for many, many years. Stacy was diagnosed with cancer and we're asking for your support for this amazing woman.

Many know Stacy from the years she's been involved with the local music scene, be it behind the bar, in front of the stage rocking out, or behind the scenes with her amazing support of music in general.

Others know Stacy as the unconditional, non-judgmental friend that will stick by your side through thick and thin.

Wylie High School students know her as that wild art teacher that helped them learn to express themselves through art.

Her family knows her as the most devoted person on the planet. That person that would fight the battles for you.

Well, Stacy is now fighting her own battle with cancer and the community is coming together to show her support.

This Sunday (August 26th), please join us at the Firehouse Bar & Grill (2074 Butternut) for a benefit/fundraiser for Stacy. It's a family-friendly affair that will last from 2pm-8pm.

We'll have a silent auction (some of the items listed below), BBQ brisket plates, Pie the Painman, Cornhole, Pay to Sing/Karaoke, Pool tourney, live music with 360, and much more - all in an effort to help ease the financial burden of cancer.

We're also auctioning off a 2007 Harley-Davidson Street Glide (courtesy of and on display at Free Ride Motorcycles). Raffle tickets are $50 each. The raffle will run through September 29th. We'll draw for the winner on that date at the Firehouse. ONLY 250 tickets have been printed, so your odds of winning are really high.
