Voters across the state of Texas decided the fates of 10 different Constitutional Amendments today. Propositions 4, 7 and 8 failed.

As of 11:20p, 99.8% of the precincts across the state had reported their results:

Prop 1- Tax exemption for surviving spouse of veteran
IN FAVOR 82.9%
AGAINST   17.1%

Prop 2- Texas Water Development Board issue additional bonds not to exceed $6 billion
IN FAVOR 51.5%
AGAINST  48.5%

Prop 3- Issue bonds to finance higher education loans to students
IN FAVOR 54.5%
AGAINST  45.5%

Prop 4- Permit counties to issue bonds for development
IN FAVOR 40.3%
AGAINST  59.7%

Prop 5- Allow cities and counties to enter into interlocal contracts
IN FAVOR 57.8%
AGAINST  42.2%

Prop 6- General Land Office distribute revenue for public education
IN FAVOR 51.6%
AGAINST  48.4%

Prop 7- Permit El Paso County to reclamation districts
IN FAVOR 48.3%
AGAINST  51.7%

Prop 8- Appraisal for ad valorem tax of land devoted to water stewardship
IN FAVOR 47%
AGAINST   53%

Prop 9- Authorize Governor to pardon a person who completed deferred adjudication
IN FAVOR 57.3%
AGAINST  42.7%

Prop 10- Extend length of unexpired term which trigger automatic resignations for elected officials
IN FAVOR  56%
