She had to wait to find out, but Jaida Dreyer's original performance of "Jack It to Jesus, Spray It to Hell" was good enough to win Season 1 of Real Country, the USA Network's new singing competition show.

Dreyer — a Canadian born, American raised singer-songwriter best knownas a writer of Luke Bryan's hit song "Home Alone Tonight" (until now, anyway) — was one of seven finalists who performed, each earning marks from fans on a 1-5 scale. Her total score of a 4.6 edged Larry Fleet and trio Copper Chief to give her the $100,000 cash prize and Grand Ole Opry performance slot.

"We've all heard your songs on the radio that you've written for other people," Dreyer's coach Jake Owen told her, "but it’s about damn time we hear you singing your own songs on the radio."

Travis Tritt and Shania Twain were the other two celebrity country singers to pick artists for Real Country, an eight-part series filmed in Nashville over the summer. Twenty-one contestants started the show, but just seven finalists remained for Tuesday night's (Dec. 11) finale. In addition to Dreyer, Copper Chief and Fleet fans rated performances by Jamie Floyd, Kylie Frey, Frank Ray and Tiera.

After the show Dreyer took to Facebook to share more about "Jack It to Jesus" and how it was inspired by Loretta Lynn's requests to her hairstylist. Jesse Frasure helped Dreyer write the song.

"I love country music. I love and respect the history of country music. This is my ode to all the big haired women that came before me," she says.

"Jack It to Jesus, Spray It to Hell" is available everywhere.
