Hero Pig Saves Baby Goat From Drowning

Things were looking pretty grim at the petting zoo after a baby goat got its foot stuck underwater.

As an onlooker filmed, the young animal struggled to keep its head above water. But, suddenly, something comes into the corner of the screen. It’s a pig, and it’s swimming toward the trapped goat.

With one swift push, the pig frees the goat from what would’ve become its watery grave. Hasselhoff’s got nothing on this swine! Then the two animals swim together to shore.

“And there he is, the hero pig,” says the cameraman, with his lens trained on the quick-thinking oinker.

Not since ‘Babe’ has a pig so captured our imagination. This may even make us feel a bit guilty the next time we eat bacon.
