Little Big Town have dropped a powerful cover of Sir Elton John's classic hit "Rocket Man," recorded for the album Restoration: Reimagining the Songs of Elton John and Bernie Taupin. Readers can press play above to listen to the harmony-rich and futuristic version of the 1972 hit song that was included on John's album Honky Chateau. LBT's classic, sparsely attended harmonies capture John's extraterrestrial, psychedelic sound as the song launches into a fitting tribute to the original.

LBT join an all-star, cross-genre lineup of artists paying tribute to John, including Chris StapletonMiranda LambertEmmylou HarrisMaren Morris and many more. The song comes off of one part of a set of two tribute albums dedicated to re-imagining Elton John's greatest hits. Restoration features a hand-picked selection of some of country's legendary performers and most talented new artists, curated by John's longtime songwriting partner Bernie Taupin. In addition to Little Big Town, Dolly Parton and Willie Nelson are just a few of the country legends who will star in the project.

Restoration's accompanying album, Revamp, will focus on a collection of tributes from artists across the pop and rock formats. That record will feature big names such as Lady Gaga, performing her take on "Your Song," and Ed Sheeran's rendition of "Candle in the Wind."

The two albums are slotted for release on April 6. They will be released ahead of John's 300-date, three-year-long Farewell Yellow Brick Road Tour, which will cap off his 50-year career of performing. The tour will kick off this September.
