Kimye has taken another visit to the White House, this time in East Africa. Kanye West and Kim Kardashian met with the President of Uganda, Yoweri K Museveni, on Oct. 13. During their visit, the president and the couple discussed Uganda's tourism and the arts. West also gifted Museveni with a pair of signed Yeezy sneakers.

President Museveni expressed his gratitude over the couple's visit. "I welcome American entertainment stars Kanye West and @KimKardashian to Uganda,” Museveni wrote on Twitter. “I held fruitful discussions with the duo on how to promote Uganda's tourism and the arts. I thank Kanye for the gift of white sneakers. Enjoy your time in Uganda. It is the true Pearl of Africa."

Museveni is a fairly controversial politician in African politics—he's been president since 1986 after being involved in a rebellion that ultimately overthrew the previous ruling government. In 2014, he signed an anti-gay bill in to Ugandan law that places a life sentence on gay sex and same-sex marriage.

This isn't the first time that this couple has made headlines for meeting with a president. The "I Love It" rapper met with President Donald Trump to discuss racism, prison reform and more last week (Oct. 11).

"A liberal will try to control a Black person through the concept of racism because they know that we're a very proud, emotional people," Kanye said during the meeting. "So when I said I'm like Trump to someone that's liberal they'll say, 'Oh, he's racist.' You think racism can control me? Oh, that don't stop me, that's an invisible wall."

President Trump commended the MC on the points he brought up during the meeting and said West is able to speak for him anytime. "He’s a smart cookie," President Trump began. "He gets it.”
