Five days after Hurricane Harvey made its disastrous way through Houston, rappers continue doing what they can to help those affected by the vicious storm. Although Drake had already worked with his friend Future The Prince to assist local Houston relief groups, the Toronto rapper has just taken it upon himself to contribute even more to the cause.

On Thursday (Aug. 31), Drizzy uploaded an Instagram video announcing he'd donated $200,000 to Houston Texans' defensive end JJ Watt's Hurricane Harvey fundraiser.

"To the resilient people of Houston and the entire state of Texas, I would like to send you all of our love and all of our prayers," Drizzy begins in the video. "To the brave men and women that have assisted in aid, relief [and] rescue, your actions are truly heroic. My good friend JJ Watt has started a fundraising effort through YouCaring, and I've donated $200,000 towards it."

In order to help get people to contribute to the Watt's fund—which has earned over $10 million at this point—Drake left the link to the website in his Instagram bio. "The journey to rebuilding is going to be a long one, so anything you could give is greatly appreciated," Drizzy says at the ends of the vid.

As we alluded to earlier, more than a few rappers have helped those affected by Hurricane Harvey, which claimed over two dozen lives thus far. On Wednesday, Russ revealed that he'd donated $35,000 to the Red Cross in Houston. Two days ago, Nicki Minaj revealed that she'd donated $25,000 to the cause. For his part, Houston native Trae Tha Truth hopped on a boat and made his way to the frontlines, paddling his way around the city to help survivors and those trying to assist them.

Bun B, who's also a Houston native, has revealed that he's developing a prime time telethon to raise funds for his damaged city. He will work alongside the folks who helped organize Ariana Grande's One Love Manchester show, which was a benefit concert meant to honor the lives lost when her Manchester concert was bombed back in May.
