Kindly Customer Leaves $1,000 Tip So Waitress Can Visit Italy

Some days, you make more in tips than others.

A woman on Tumblr shared a story about how her waitress mother recently got a $1,000 tip from a customer on a $60 bill.

The rather large gratuity came after the woman told the customer how her family is from Italy and she has studied art history, but has never been able to visit the country.

On the receipt, the man wrote, "Your ticket to Italy. Enjoy!!" What's more, the man reportedly left the tip and quietly left the restaurant, without making any sort of scene.

The woman's daughter was impressed with the generous showing, saying, "There are still nice people in the world." Ciao!
