Senator Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.) will be traveling to Lubbock on Saturday, March 10. Sanders is scheduled to appear at SXSW in Austin before traveling to San Antonio on March 9th. Then, he will travel to Lubbock for a speech the following day.

According to KENS5 in San Antonio and the Lubbock Avalanche-Journal, Sanders is touring the state in an effort to raise money for Our Revolution Texas, a "statewide progressive populist organization formed in the wake of the Bernie Sanders campaign" according to their website. The group was formed in 2017 following Sanders' failed 2016 Presidential campaign and claims to fight for a $15 minimum wage, climate change, and medicare for all.

Bernie Sanders, along with Our Revolution President Nina Turner and former Texas Agriculture Commissioner Jim Hightower, will speak on Saturday, March 10 at the Lubbock Memorial Civic Center at 1 p.m. There's no admission cost, but the group is asking for $5 donations.
